Josh deBerge of KOMU gave us early warning on the massive winter storm bearing down on mid-Missouri. We’re looking at freezing rain tonight and 8 to 12 inches of snow by Thursday night.
For context, we haven’t had 12 inches of snow the last three years combined in Missouri.
Then we brought in Columbia’s City Manager (and fellow Battlestar Galactica fan) Bill Watkins, who talked about road projects in the works. Columbia is growing fast and the infrastructure here needs to keep up.
Dr. Robert Baum discussed Pope Benedict’s trip to Turkey and the mass protests surrounding his visit. Was it about religion, politics, or a mixture of both?
Finally, author Michael Atchison talked about his new book True Sons: A Century of Missouri Tigers Basketball. He’s got two book signings in Columbia tomorrow: 4:30 at the University Bookstore, and at Mizzou Arena around halftime.
Weather permitting.
