Almost Like It’s Planned

The media’s saturation with supernatural themes has translated into a generation of young people who are very open to believing in things unseen. The trouble with being open-minded is that if you’re too open, your brain falls out.

Teenagers relish experiences and the supernatural world provides fertile ground for their explorations. In fact, three-quarters of America’s youth (73%) have engaged in at least one type of psychic or witchcraft-related activity, beyond mere media exposure or horoscope usage.

Barna’s survey leads to the inescapable conclusion that a lot of kids experimenting with the spirit world must be from Christian homes. In fact, they probably even think of themselves as Christian.

How did this happen? Partly because doctrine has been replaced in our churches by happy, feel-good messages and worship music, but mostly because Christian men have abdicated their role as spiritual head of their households.

Read your Bible, man. We’re going to be held accountable for the spiritual state of our families someday.
