The National Weather Service has revised its projected track for soon-to-be Hurricane Rita further north yet again in its 11:00AM ET update. Rita is projected to pass over the Florida Keys and move into the bathtub temperature water of the Gulf of Mexico.
What happens then?
ALL INDICATIONS ARE THAT RITA WILL BECOME A MAJOR HURRICANE OVER THE GULF OF MEXICO…
The NWS forecast discussion drily projects Rita’s position Saturday morning as near 29.0N 95.0W. Where is that? See the red star below.
That would be Houston.
