Darwinists Getting Nervous

Is the left getting nervous about Intelligent Design? Albert Mohler seems to think so. The August 22 issue of the New Republic contains two lengthy articles on what one author calls “an expression of sentiment, not an exercise of reason”.

It is to laugh.

Evolutionism is a religion, not science. Any belief system that claims to explain how life began treads the ground of the metaphysical. Darwin’s disciples can show us no transitional forms, no explanation of how one species can produce another, and yet they accuse all non-believers–which includes a majority of the American public–with being unscientific ideologues.

Ha.

  1. Wow, from your lack of understanding about what evolution is to your outright lie about transitional forms, I’m not even sure where to begin…

…why is it that it seems that Christians are the most willing to lie about evolution? Didn’t God have some rule about lying?

  2. Okay, that’s what I get for not calling my attorney to check my posts before I upload.

Perhaps you’d prefer the term “intermediate forms”. The fact remains that you can’t show me one fossil that is half-bird, half-somethingelse.

Nor can you explain to me the process by which the first single-celled orgranism spontaneously created itself out of nothing. And if belief in that miraculous reversal of the Second Law of Thermodynamics isn’t a metaphysical claim, then I don’t know what is.

You, Andy, are a fundamentalist.. I used to be a Darwinist until I read up enough on the subject that the facts got in the way. Like a true fundamentalist, though, you’ve pushed through that minor obstacle to remain true to the faith.

    Good for you.
